Joseph "J.E." Earl Brooks

Joseph Earl Brooks (J.E.) passed away Monday, April 20, 2026. He was the son of Earl and Lula Belle Brooks; JE was one of seven children. 

He leaves his wife of sixty-six years, Janice Sluss Brooks; three adult children, Melissa McCoy and her husband Dr. Michael, Kenneth Brooks, PhD and his wife Danijela, and Kristin Waldschlager and her husband Paul; five much loved grandchildren, Isaac and Jacob Waldschlager, Ashley, Allison and Sylvia Brooks; three great grandchildren, Noah, Raife, and Brooks.

J.E. retired from Rental Uniform Company in 2000. He also worked with Baptist Men and Disaster Relief Team after Katrina. He served as a deacon at First Baptist Dandridge and was active in his Sunday School class.

There will be a graveside service at 11 AM, on Friday, April 24, 2026, in Hamblen Memorial Gardens, with Jim Davis officiating.
