Judy Hemphill Obituary

Judy Faye Hemphill, 70, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2025, surrounded by family after a brief illness. She was a long-time member of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church. Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judy is preceded in death by her father, George T. Bryant, Sr. and sister, Karen Rutledge.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles Hemphill; daughter, Kimberly (Greg) McDaniel; grandchildren, Kaela (Justin Sandifer) Brewer and Christian Brewer; great grandchildren, Riley, Aubrey, Parker, Charleigh, Mercy, and Elli; mother, Freda Mae Bryant; sisters, Linda (Charlie) Reynolds and Debbie (Joe) Ivey; brothers, Vernon Bryant, George T. Bryant, Jr., and Ross S. Bryant; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her Buffalo Trail Baptist Sunday School class.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Buffalo Trail Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Buffalo Trail Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4 PM, with Dr. Keith Mowery officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, on Monday, November 17, 2025, in Lynnhurst Cemetery of Knoxville, TN.
