Judy K. Johnson, 78, returned home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 23, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Judy was a dedicated servant of the Lord, serving as a charter member and 15yr secretary of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church, an administrative secretary for the Children of Hope youth program, a secretary for the Connection Fellowship, and an administrator for the Attitude Exchange Company community outreach program.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George P. and Mary Frank Johnson, and brother George F. (Buddy) Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, James C. Johnson Sr; son, James C. Johnson Jr., daughter, Sharon (Sharie) Johnson; sisters, Betty Moore and Anita Johnson; grandsons, Erik, Matthew, Benjamin Johnson and Zachary Arnold. Judy and the family would also like to recognize special friends Valerie Tucker and Karen York. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the excellent health care teams and medical staff at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and the Fresenius Dialysis Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donations be made to Buffalo Trail Baptist Church and the Attitude Exchange Company for their continued ministry of the Lord.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Dr. Keith Mowery and Reverend Jeff Caudill officiating. Graveside services are planned for 12:30 pm Thursday, April 29, 2021at East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery; 2200 East Gov. John Sevier Hwy; Knoxville, Tn. 37920.
