Judy Ann Manning passed peacefully into her Heavenly home on February 9th after a long battle with cancer. Judy passed while holding the hand of her best friend, Louise Murray. She was surrounded by the comfort of friends and family in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was 61.
Judy grew up in Morristown, Tennessee and was the second of five children. Judy was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where she was a member of the church’s choir. Judy was a mother, grandmother, aunt, and dear friend.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Delsia Smith and by her sister, Debra Smith-Moore.
Judy is survived by her sons: David (Kelly Love) Manning; Derick (Samantha) Manning; and beloved grandson, Garrick Manning. She is further survived by siblings: Craig (Beth) Smith, Don (Shea) Smith, and Sandy Smith; nieces and nephews: Sarah (Dillon), Ashley, Amber (Jake), Amy (Zak), Faith (George), and Shane; and life-long friends: Louise, Josh, Shannon, and Rachel Murray as well as puppy, Gracie.
Judy’s family would like to thank Louise and Josh Murray for caring for her during the final years of her life.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Winstead officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm prior to the service. Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
