Kathleen (Carson) Helton

Kathleen Carson Helton, 99 and ½, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, after a brief illness.  She was born on March 9, 1926, in Hawkins County and was a longtime member of Economy Church.  She has left a wonderful legacy for her friends and family due to her strong Christian faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Alice Carson; husband, William Helton; infant son, Charles Helton, and sister, Jean Carson Rader.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Earl) Brewer; son, Mike Helton, son David (Margaret) Helton; grandchildren, Mark (Alyson) Brewer, Melanie (Roger) Norton, Stephanie (Randy) Vaughn, Amy (Chad) Orr, Rebekah (Caleb) Gaston, Clinton (Jenica) Helton; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Philis Carson Singleton; as well as several nieces and nephews.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Gideon’s International, gideoncard.org and/or the Daily Bread Community Kitchen of Morristown, .  

The family will receive friends 1-2 PM, Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2 PM, with Pastor Howard Agnew and Rev. Roy Dalton officiating.  A procession will follow the funeral service to Bethesda Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
