Kathryn Swiney Obituary

Kathryn Aylene Yount Swiney, 68, of Whitesburg, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and worked as a nurse for over 20 years and retired from Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and two great grandchildren, Jace and Joshua Long.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years Danny “Ebb” Swiney; children, Robbie (Yvonne) Swiney, Traci (John) Delp; Candi (Mike) Kesterson, Travis Swiney; sister, Sue Haase; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, many friends and loved ones, especially her dear friend Elaine Masteen.

Private graveside services are planned in Phillipi Cemetery in Mosheim, Tn. with Don Crider officiating.

Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
