Kermit "Tip" Clifford King, Jr.

Kermit Clifford “Tip” King, Jr., 81, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at his home in Morristown. He was a Free and Accepted Mason, member of the Knights Templar, and a Shriner. 

Tip was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit Clifford, Sr. and Hazel King; and brother-in-law, Harold Haun.

Survivors include his children, Cliff King, Regina Lamb, and Mae King; grandchildren, Jarrid (Anna) Estes, Kelli King, and Kara King; great-grandchild, Lettie Jo Estes; sister, Ruby Jean Haun; brother, William David King; as well as several nieces, nephews, and numerous close friends.  

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Reverend Benny Jones officiating. Interment will be Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. in Emma Jarnagin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678, or Shriners Children’s Hospital, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508 in Tip’s memory.
