Lester Glynn Cody

Lester Glynn Cody joined his love of 64 years Friday, June 28, 2019.    Glynn was born January 30, 1935 in Virginia. He and his wife Chris moved to Morristown from Ohio in 1973.  They opened the Pizza Cottage in April of 1974 and served the community until their retirement in 1996.  He was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife Chris and his grandson Alex Cody.  

He is survived by his children, Mike (Angie) Cody, Tim (Charlene) Cody, and Andrea (Tim) Jarnagin; grandchildren, Gabe (Jennifer) Cody, Marcelo (Joy) Albuquerque and Amanda Pressley; great-grandchildren, Korbin, Presley, Camryn Cody and Gracie, Molly, Sophie Pressley and special friend, Jeannie Jones.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, July 1, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services are planned for 10:00 am Tuesday, July 2, 2019 also at the funeral home with Donnie Myers officiating.  Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
