Lester Wright Obituary

Lester “Squeaky” Lee Wright, born June 27, 1952, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, May 28, 2022.  He was the eldest of seven children.  He grew up hunting fishing and camping and earned his Eagle Scout. He loved all sports, especially football, basketball, and baseball.  He coached and umpired little league baseball.  Lester retired in 2016 after a long career as an industrial electrician which began while serving in the United States Navy.  He was a Vietnam veteran.  

Lester is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Gwendolyn Jean Wright; brothers, Kevin, Troy, and Brian; sons, Kevin Joseph, and Nicholas.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Tracy whom he met while they were both stationed in Iceland in 1983 and married in 1985.  After both got out of the Navy in 1988, they moved to Arizona. After he talked Tracy into becoming an electrician as well, they worked in Morenci Mine and moved to Tucson in 2008 where they both worked at Silverbell Mine.  They moved to Tennessee in 2011 to work at the zinc mine and to be closer to Tracy’s father. He is also survived by his daughters, Leslee and Tierra; brothers, Nathan and Blaine; sister, Jacquelyn; grandchildren, Linda, Adrian, Grace, Ty and Gage as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Final arrangements of Lester’s memorial service will be announced in the weeks to come.
