Lillian Maye Winstead, 89, of Morristown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was born to the late Andrew and Anna Roberts on January 11, 1935.
Along with her parents, Maye was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kyle Winstead; daughter, Debbi Clark; siblings, Clyde (Hazel) Roberts, Woody (Mary Nell) Roberts, Fred (Jan) Roberts, Wayne (Dot) Roberts, Marjorie Miller; Maxine (Hollis) Norton, and Mildred (M.A.) Terry.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Roy Dale) Rich; son-in-law, Jim Clark; grandchildren, Jimmy Kyle (Whitney) Clark, Hannah Clark (Zach Miser), Seth Clark, Justin (Jennifer) Rich, and Juliann (Chadd) Blackburn; as well as seven great grandchildren.
Maye was saved at an early age and was a faithful member of Fairview Bible Baptist Church. She was a woman of deep faith and devotion. Throughout the years she enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, fishing, and deer hunting. She was the Southeastern US Women’s Archery Champion. Her legacy of love, faith, and strength will live on through her family and all that knew her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 5-7PM, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7PM, with Rev. Chip Winstead officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1PM, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
