Lois (Coffey) Greene

Lois Coffey Greene, age 70, of Tazewell, TN, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on Saturday, July 29, 2023.  She was a member of Sneedville First Baptist Church and  co-owner of Greene Insurance Agency since 1974.  Lois was preceded in death by the love of her life for 45 years, Randy Greene; parents, Lee and Bonnie Coffey; brothers, Foister Coffey, Roger Coffey, Howard Coffey and G.D. Coffey; nephews, Todd Coffey and Benson Coffey; great nephew, Christopher Coffey.

She is survived by her daughter, Mindy Greene of Tazewell, TN; sister, Doris (Maurice) Wolfe; nephews Maurice Wolfe, Donnie (Rebecca) Coffey, Joel (Angie) Coffey; Gary (Sabrina) Coffey, Roger Lee Coffey and Matt Jones; nieces, Brittney Greene, Chelsea Greene, and  Cristie Wisecarver; her “little sunshine, Izzy Jo” and Cooper.  Lois will definitely be missed by her “Way back Girls” whom she loved like sisters, Janet Seal, Jannette Gibson, Sherry Seal, Judy Hopkins and Judy Greene.  They traveled together, laughed together and cried together.  She is also survived by a host of family especially special and faithful friends who would check on Lois when Mindy couldn’t get to Morristown,  Brooke Cornett, Lauren Lawson and niece, Brittney Greene.  Special thanks to the nurses and staff member of Regency Retirement and nurses at Caris Hospice.  Your compassion and care will not be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00 p.m.  Reverend Larry Carroll will officiate the service. Inurnment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
