Lorene Gladys (Wyatt Maddox) Davis

Lorene Gladys Wyatt Maddox Davis, age 92, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Born in Tazewell, she and her twin sister Arene Ruth were the daughters of Marion and Ellen Maddox Wyatt.  Upon her mother’s death at childbirth, Lorene and her sister were raised by grandparents Joe Brestcomb and Margaret Elizabeth Maddox, along with her twelve cousins.  Married to the late Roy Fayne Davis, Lorene was the mother of Robin Elizabeth Davis (Jim) Claborn and the grandmother of Dana Tara (Brian) Papworth, along with step great grandchildren Amy, Nick, and Jennifer Papworth.

Family and friends may gather 11 am Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services, conducted by her son-in-law Jim Claborn.
