Lucy Aileen (Campbell) Gibson

Lucy A. Gibson, 90, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 2, 2020.  She was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church and attended Beaver Creek Baptist Church in Strawberry Plains.  She loved flowers, gardening and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, William “Pete” Gibson; parents, Robert and Lula Campbell; brothers, Wayne, Sam, and Coy Campbell; a sister, Bobbie Stroud.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (David) McGhee; Shirley (Randy) Reneau; grandchildren, Mike (Kim) McGhee; Amber (Randy) Rauhuff; Kasey (Jason) Stout and Brian Reneau; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary and Marie Campbell; sister-in-law, Janie Campbell and special brother-in-law, Johnny Walker; as well as several nieces and nephews..

The family would especially like to thank Jefferson Park at Dandridge and Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion shown to Lucy during her illness.

Due to COVID19, graveside services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Beaver Creek Baptist Church; 845 Beaver Creek Road; Strawberry Plains, Tn.  37871.
