Margaret Stewart (Smith) Holt

Margaret Stewart Smith Holt, of White Pine, passed away peacefully February 27, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of over 60 years, Herman Holt; parents, John Stewart Smith and Grace Forbes Smith; sister, Joan Smith.  She is survived by her daughter Laura (Chris), sons, Rickey (Sherri), Robert (Robyn); granddaughters, Andrea and Rebecca; great granddaughter, Abigail; special friend Janet Adams; as well as several cousins and extended family members. 

She worked for many years as a hairdresser in White Pine and was always willing to lend a hand when a person or animal needed it.  One of her passions was owning and raising parrots; Margaret was a  30-year member of the Tennessee Valley Exotic Bird Club.  Along with her family, she leaves behind two special parrots, Corky and Spanky and a dog, Mollie. 

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Entombment services will be held 2PM, Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in the Mausoleum of Hamblen Memory Gardens with Pastor Joseph Eaton officiating.
