Martha "Sis" Hammons

Martha “Sis” Hammons 87, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 5, 2025, at her home in Morristown surrounded by family.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Martha was born in Hazard, KY; she loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed being outside, going to the flea market, gardening, and being in her flowers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Sarah Caudill Hammons; brothers, Art Hammons, Arnold Hammons, Arlis Hammons, Robert Hammons, Norvel Hammons and Lester Hammons; sisters, Madge Whitaker, Nevada Komatsu, and Maude Woods; sons, Billy Caudill and Mike Caudill; granddaughters, Molly Caudill and Danielle Caudill.

Martha is survived by her son, Marcus Caudill of Ellijay, Ga; daughter, Erica (Christopher) Crowder of Morristown, TN; daughter-in-law, Betsy Caudill of Mechanicsburg, OH; grandchildren, Christopher Crowder II, Jacqulin (Sixto) Monzon, Anthony (Jama) Russell, Shawn (Kaimi)Farmer, Daniel (Melinda) Farmer, all of Tennessee,  Shane (Lorena) Caudill, Bobbie Jo (John) Ritchie, Michael Caudill, Buffy Caudill, Josiah Caudill, Jeremy Caudill, Emily Caudill, Shanna, Fred, and Denver all of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Molly, Sarai, Clay, Chloe, Maci, Brenna, Michael, Abram, Audree, Kaylee, Bailey, Leah, Gavan, Leslie, Madison, Christopher, Cole, Dane, Tristin, Caleb, Myles, Hunter, Camden, and Hunter; great-great-grandchildren, Harlow and Grayson; sisters, Gwendolyn Gasparlin and Ada Peavy, several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a  private celebration of life at a later date.
