Mary Charles Carson, 90, of Bean Station, passed away peacefully at her home after an extended illness. Mary Charles lived most of her life in Morristown. However, she moved to Bean Station in her later years to be close to her daughter. Mary Charles retired from American Enka after working there for 36 years. She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a dedicated servant of the Lord.
Mary was preceded in death by 8 of her 9 siblings, her husband James (Blue) Carson, and son Richard Carson. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Sim) Stewart of Bean Station; sister, Alyce Moore of Newport, Tn.; three grandchildren, Roxanne Carson, Brantley (Kate) Stewart and Corbin (Whitney) Stewart, all of Morristown. She had six great-grandchildren, Spencer, Ava, Zoey, Liza Blue, Millie and Wake. She will be greatly missed by her constant companion, Ace the boxer.
Mary Charles was an avid golfer and loved to play with her family and friends. We hope that Jim had a game waiting on her when she walked through the pearly gates and they play until their hearts are content.
She will be remembered for her smiling face, helpfulness, sweet disposition and as a caretaker to her family and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly. A graveside service will be held at Hamblen Memory Gardens on May 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
