Mary Ruth Easterly

Mary R. Easterly, 61, of Mohawk, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System, after a brief battle with cancer. She was a member of Mountain Valley Baptist Church. She loved to work outside in the yard and spend time with her grandkids. 

She is preceded in death by father, Carl “Hump” turner; sister, Martha Turner; brother, Robert Turner; and nephews, Robert Turner, Jr. and Joshua Honeycut.

Mary is survived by her husband of 35 years, Craig Easterly; daughter, LeAnna Easterly; grandchildren, McKenzee and Kameryn Easterly; mother, Marie Turner; sisters, Barbara (Ralph) Reams, Annie Turner, Brenda (Clarence) Crisp; brothers, Terry Turner, Charles Turner, Lee Roy Turner, C.E. (Gracie) Turner, David A. (Shirley) Turner, Roger Turner; special friend, Shirl Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2PM, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Frank Long officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to someone in need or a charity of one’s choice.
