Mary Louise Orrick, 87, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 on the same date as her father 45 years ago. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Orrick; sons, Ricky Orrick, Dennis Orrick and Joe Orrick; parents, William and Elizabeth Nenney; sister Kitty Quinton and granddaughter, Vanessa Orrick.
The Nenney family settled in Bent Creek in 1785, which is now Whitesburg. Her forefathers were that of Hayslope which is now Russellville. Nenney Graham was the wife of Legislator Hugh Graham. Louise retired from Shelby Williams after over 30 years and after that, she worked for Food City as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed working both places thoroughly. She was one of the kindest and most generous people you would ever want to meet. She was a faithful member of Catherine Nenney Memorial Baptist Church since childhood and served her church in so many capacities over the years as well as Catherine Nenney Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Johnny (Barbara Lane) Orrick; brother and sisters, Helen Collins, Bill (Sherry) Nenney, Carole (Richard) Harwood and Elizabeth Ridley; granddaughter, Courtney Orrick and special nephew, Don Harwood.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Life Care Center of Morristown, especially Larry and Crystal.
Graveside services are planned for 2:00pm Monday, December 28, 2020 in Catherine Nenney Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Richard Long officiating. The body will lie in repose from 11:00am – 2:00pm Monday, December 28, 2020 at Catherine Nenney Memorial Baptist Church.
To follow government guidelines regarding COVID19, facial coverings are required, and social distancing is expected for those who wish to pay their respects.
