Mary Rader Obituary

Mary Louise Rader, 92, gained her angel wings on September 3rd, 2021. Mary was the 6th of 8 children born to Richard Joel and Myrtle Rader. She was saved at a young age, where she and her family attended church, Bridger’s Methodist. Mary lived in Bean Station, Tn, but was born and raised in Morristown, Tn.

After high school, where she played basketball and earned the nickname “Mean Mary” on the court, she went to work for The Coca Cola Bottling Company. She worked there for 42 years.

Mary loved family, was an avid flower gardener, as a matter of fact, she gardened up into her mid-80’s. She was bird watcher & wildlife conservationist, and loved to watch television; especially westerns and Martha Stewart.

She had several friends and relatives who made sure she had all the love and attention she needed. Thank you to Wendy Bubp, Libby Lum, Cindy Rader, Dana & Ron Moreland, Charli Curry, Debbie Smith & Our Avalon Hospice Angels.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Joel Rader; mother, Myrtle Roberson Rader; Sisters, Edna Rader; Georgia Rader; Virginia Rader Cole and Hazel Rader Briscoe; Brothers, James Rader; and Bill Rader; nephews, John Baxter, Jim Baxter.
