Myra Jane (Thompson) VanZant

Myra Jane Vanzant, 35, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord, Monday May 16, 2022.  She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.  Myra was a kind and generous person; she loved the outdoors especially fishing and hunting.  She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Lee Thompson.  

Survivors include her mother, Kathy Jane Thompson; brother, Joe Wayne (Jamie Chrisman) Thompson; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her fiancé, David Pugh.  

The family would especially like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Monday, May 23, 2022, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 PM with Pastor Brian Southerland officiating.  Graveside services will be held at noon, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
