Norma Jean Fawbush, age 87, of Whitesburg, TN went to be with Jesus on February 27, 2024. She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Whitesburg where she served as a Sunday school teacher and pianist/organist for over 60 years. She and her husband, Jack, owned and operated Fawbush IGA in Russellville for many years.
Norma happily joined her husband Jack and her beloved son Terry Fawbush, both of whom she has missed and dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hughie and Jean Rector of Jonesboro; her sister, Carolyn Rogers; her nephew, Wes Garland; her great-grandson, Kenneth Surette, Jr.; and many loved ones.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Fawbush; her sister, Joyce Garland; her brother, Jimmy Rector; grandchildren and spouses, Michael (Leigh) Fawbush, Rebecca Carpenter, Lana (Dwight) Dixon, and Tracy (David) Roach; great-grandchildren, Deanna (Cole) Mason, Kailey Carpenter, Lauren and Morgan Fawbush, and Riley Roach; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loved ones.
Many thanks are extended to Dr. Paul Cardali and nurse Jennifer for their love and care at Morristown HealthStar.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, February 29, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow receiving friends with Reverends Roger Bumgarner and Donnie Myers officiating. Graveside will be Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11 AM at Creech’s Chapel Cemetery in Whitesburg, TN.
