Novella “Granny” Jarnagin Haager, 90, joined Jesus Saturday, February 1, 2020 at her home in Russellville; she was a member of New Life Primitive Baptist Church and retired from General Electric. She was an amazing person, who loved her church and her church family. She never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Jarnagin and Ervin Buck Haager; daughter, Imogene Jarnagin Miller; parents, Thomas and Mary Gulley; sisters, Mary Gulley, Elizabeth Cantrell, Delia Stroud, Jean Susong, and Cecile Gulley; and brother, Nathan Gulley.
Survivors include her sons, Esco (Kathy) Jarnagin and Billy (Carolyn) Jarnagin; grandchildren, Brad (Whitney) Jarnagin, Jason (Krystal) Jarnagin, Scotty (Rebecca) Jarnagin, Brian Jarnagin, Harold (Nichole) Owenby, Tim Owenby, Christy (Chris) Hovious, and Stacey (Bobbie) Owenby; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; one very special niece; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Miranda Pope, Kayla Mosier, and Linda Bledsoe, as well as Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice for all of their care and support.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 PM with the Reverends Wally Lampkin and Jerry Johnson officiating. Interment will be 11 AM, Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
