Patricia Ruth (Smith) Carpenter

Patricia Ruth Carpenter, 84, of Whitesburg passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018.  She was a longtime and faithful member of Russellville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for over 25 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Clyde Walter Carpenter. 

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Darrell) Long and Patti (Randy) Proffitt; granddaughters, Ashley Long and Lydia (Chris) Garnsey; and great grandson, Ryan Garnsey. 

The Family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Russellville Baptist Church.  Funeral Services will follow with the Reverends Dannie Bell and Steve Smith officiating.  Interment will be 10am Thursday, June 21 in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made In Patricia’s honor to ALPS Adult Day Services, 600 N. Daisy Street, Morristown, TN 37814.
