Patricia Johns Carpenter, 85, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024. She was a licensed practical nurse for many years, always caring for those in need. Since she retired, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She was the happiest when she was with her daughters and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jaunita Johns; brothers, Scotty Johns and Demo James Johns.
Patricia is survived by her loving daughters, Karen Carpenter and Kimberly (Dave) Ferrara; grandchildren, Thomas and Allison Ferrara, whom she loved with all her heart; sister, Nelle Duddy of Philadelphia, PA; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and a great friend Melody James.
We have been so grateful for her healthcare team, especially her long-time family physician Dr. William Robinson, III, who provided excellent care and compassion for over 40 years. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Ross Kerns and the entire team at Tennessee Cancer Specialist for your exemplary care and compassion.
A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in Bethesda Cemetery in Morristown, TN.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers to make a donation in Patricia’s memory to the East Tennessee Cancer Support Community.
