Paul D. Carr, Sr., 66, passed away April 17, 2022, at his home in Whitesburg, TN surrounded by his children. He attended Pyburn Freewill Baptist Church. Paul loved the Lord and his family. He was an ardent Alabama fan and Mopar man who loved his 1965 Plymouth Barracuda. He retired from Lear Corp. in 2018, after 26 years of tool and die work. He was a proud Member of the UAW.
He was preceded in death by his son, P.J. Carr; grandson, Matthew Wells; parents, Benton and Hazel Carr; sisters, Joann Tyler and Diane Long; brothers, Benton, Jr. and William Carr.
He is survived by his children, Christy (John) Clement, Brandon (Chastity) Kennedy and Rachel (Chris) Whitaker; grandchildren, Kalei (Jon) Meade, J.W. and Emmah Clement, J.P. Kennedy, Emma and Ryan Whitaker; brothers, Phillip Carr and Jimmy Carr; sisters, Etta Branning, Shirley Conniff, Betty Tyler, Linda Ferguson, and Brenda Levings; as well as a host of dearly loved nieces and nephews.
The children and family of Paul Carr wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Morristown Branch of Amedisys Hospice, especially Ashleigh, Catie, Christy, Brittany, Garrett and Ashley for the remarkable care that was given to Paul.
The family will receive friends from 11AM – Noon (EST), Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation with Reverends Mike Taylor and Jonathan Jones officiating. Interment will be held 1 PM (CST), Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Seven Springs Cemetery, 3656 AL Highway 204, Jacksonville, AL 36265.
