Reverend Ray J. Holt

Reverend Ray J. Holt, 80, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at his home in Morristown.  He was instrumental in starting various Missionary Baptist Churches in the Lakeway Community.  He and his late wife sang for many years with the Heavenly Way singers.  He worked as a Carpenter by trade and retired from the Carpenters Local 50 Union after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou Holt; parents, Seth and Corea Shockley Holt along with nine brothers. 

He is survived by his two sons Donnie Holt and Lonnie Holt; several grandchildren; special friend Deborah “Sis” (Brian) Dunn; as well as several other nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM- 8:00PM  Friday, January 29, 2021 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Private funeral services are planned for 10:00AM Saturday, January 30, 2021 with Reverend Clifford Dalton officiating with music provided by Reverend Jerry Johnson.  Interment will follow in Bethesda Cemetery.

Due to Covid19, all attendees are requested to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing.
