Rhonda D. (Reed) Grooms

Rhonda D. (Reed) Grooms, age 60, passed away on December 23, 2025, at Morristown Hamblen Hospital.  She was surrounded by her loving family. The world lost a beautiful soul.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She loved her family and friends and loved to laugh. She was saved at an early age. The best gift God ever gave her was her sons. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, John M. Reed Jr. and Geneva (Sexton) Reed; her sister, Betty Gilbert; her niece, Amanda Owens; and her nephew, Justin Gilbert.

She is survived by her husband, James W. Grooms; sons, Jordan Helton, Matthew Grooms, and CJ Grooms; sisters, Phyllis (Billy) Clevenger and Debbie Worth; nephew, Tyler Worth; and niece, Rebecca Lane; granddaughter, Zoe Helton; grandsons, Nico Grooms and Hunter Gassen; and other family.  She will be sadly missed forever.

The family would like to thank Morristown Hamblen Hospital.  Especially the CCU unit and  the second-floor nurses and doctors for the exceptional care they provided Rhonda during her time there.  We thank you.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM, Monday, December 29, 2025, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7PM.
