Obituary
Richard Lee Ford, 75, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord, Sunday January 29, 2023. He was saved at the age of 27and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church for over 50 years. He retired from Shelby Williams after over 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lizzie Ford; sisters, Bobbie Hartsell, Linda Watts; brothers, JB Ford, James Ford, and George Ford; brother-in-law, Jimmy Watts.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Brenda Ford; sons, Travis (Elizabeth) Ford, Adam Ford; daughter, Rachel (Junior) Hood; 7 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Betty Southerland and Alice (Bobby) Helton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to especially like to thank all their neighbors, the doctors and nurses at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System, and Dr. Cardali’s office for their care and support.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Solid Rock Baptist Church prior to the funeral service at 7:00 pm with David Rutherford, Randy Brooks, and Steve Ingram officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Friday, February 3, 2023, in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
