Richard C. Wilder

Richard C. Wilder went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family at home on May 27, 2024, at age
70.

Richard was a devoted husband, loving father, beloved coach, and dear friend to many. He enjoyed the
outdoors, was an avid hunter, and loved watching sporting events, especially UT and Cincinnati Reds.
Throughout his life, he held a beautiful faith in God and was a long-time member at Fairfield Baptist
Church.

Richard joins his parents, Darl and Jane, in Heaven. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon; his
children, Kristi and Monica (David); his grandchildren, Kayla (Katilyn), Emma, Ryan, Cole, and
Jackson; his special great-granddaughter, London Marie; his great-grandchildren, Dillan, Parker, and
Ivey; his siblings, Susan, Paul, Bobbie, and Peggy; as well as a host of special friends and extended
family.  

The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 1 PM on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Allen Funeral Home. A
funeral service will be held at 1 PM, with Rev. Scott Helton officiating. Interment will follow the funeral
service in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
