Robert Paul Davis

Robert Paul Davis, 89, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Heritage Center. He was a long-time member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served over the years as song leader, church clerk, trustee, Sunday School teacher, Bible school principal, and anything else that needed to be done. Paul loved to sing and did so in many churches over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Davis; wife, Blanch Davis; brothers and their spouses, Charles (Betty) Davis and Johnny (Patsy) Davis; sister and spouse, Helen (Kenny) Hurst; nephews, Jeffery Davis, Jim Davenport, Ed Davis, and Greg Hurst.

He is survived by his brother, Joe (Linda) Davis; nieces and nephews, Jim (Shirlene) Davis, Tammy Davenport, Karen (Wes) Coburn, Robin (Robert) Wolfenbarger, Dawn (Johnny) Wilson, and Misty Hill.

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Monday, Jan. 22, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 7pm, with Rev. Franklin Barnett, Rev. Greg Ellison, and Rev. Gary Dalton officiating.  There will be a private interment at a later date in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
