Robert Turner

Robert Turner, 74, of Mohawk, passed away at his home Monday, June 19, 2023.  Mountain Valley Church was his boyhood church.  He was a farmer who loved the land.  Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He was preceded in death by his sons, Robert L. Turner, Jr. and Frederick Carl Turner; father, Carl Turner, and sister, Martha Turner.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Turner; sons, Chris (Megan) Turner, and Jerome (Alicia) Turner; daughter, Tara Woodby; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; mother, Maria Turner; brothers, David (Shirley), LeRoy, C. E.(Gracie), Roger, Charles, and Terry Turner; sisters, Annie Turner, Brenda (Clarence) Crisp, Mary (Craig) Easterly, and Barbara (Ralph) Reams. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 –7:00 pm Friday, June 23, 2023, at Mountain Valley Baptist Church in Mohawk.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Mountain Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Fletcher Porter officiating.  Interment will follow in Turner Family Cemetery.
