Ronald Allen Greene

Ron Greene, 74, of Mooresburg, passed away at home on Monday, October 16, 2023, surrounded by the love and prayers of his wife and daughter, Jessica. Ron was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Ron enjoyed a varied career as an electrician and as an electronic technician. In his retirement years, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. He was always ready to participate in all their activities and adventures. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred T. Greene and Georgia Collin Greene, and mother-in-law, Gracie Drinnon Guinn.

He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Margaret Drinnon Greene; daughters, Jessica (Jonathan) Hutchison, and Rhonda (Stephen) Parry; brother, Kenny (Teresa) Greene; grandchildren, David, Natalie and Heidi Hutchison; special friends who are like family, Betty Jo and Dwayne Lathim; special aunts, sisters-in-law, several nephews and nieces, cousins, and many friends. The family is grateful to the Paxton Williams family and the many others who showed their love and support during this time.

A private graveside service will be held at the Greene Family Cemetery in the Stoney Gap Community of Hancock County with Reverend Rick Hutchison officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Mooresburg Community Center Meals in the Hills, 313 Old Hwy 11W, Mooresburg, TN 37811.
