Ronald Ray Howerton, Sr.

Ronald Ray Howerton, Sr., 81, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Lakeland, FL.

Ray was a long time member of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

Our beloved father is survived by his wife, Cheryl; son, Ron (Kristie) Howerton; daughter, Laurel (Chad) Lewis; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four sisters, and one brother. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Howerton; sister, Dorothy Ball; and brother, Ernest Howerton.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, at 1:00 pm, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home in Morristown. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm, officiated by Dr. Keith Mowery and Reverend Patrick Alexander.
