Born September 17, 1927, in Jefferson County, Tennessee, Rosemary was a beloved and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Creech; parents, William Newton Walker and Minnie Hamilton Walker; and siblings, Curtis (Mary) Walker, and Hazel (Gene) Creswell. Rosemary worked with the American Red Cross for 25 years. Her favorite memory of that time was helping members of the armed services get home to their families. Rosemary baked hundreds of delicious breads, cakes, and pies for her grateful family and friends. She was also a gifted seamstress and creator of many beautiful pieces of needlework. A member of First United Methodist Church since 1949, Rosemary was active in the Yater Breeding Sunday School Class and her UMW Circle. She enjoyed travel and always looked forward to summers at the beach with her grandchildren. Her kind and gracious nature will be remembered fondly.
The family wishes to thank Margaret Chris Kyle, Amedisys, Home Instead, Regency Retirement Village, and Dr. John Horner for their compassionate care.
Due to Covid, the service was private, with interment at Bethesda Cemetery. Dr. Darris Doyal and Rev. Walter Weikel officiated. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Holston United Methodist Home for Children, 404 Holston Drive, Greeneville, TN 37743, or a charity of your choice.
