Ruby Glasscock

Ruby Glasscock, age 77 of Bulls Gap, TN, passed away July 26, 2025, peacefully in her sleep.  Ruby was an active member of Bulls Gap Baptist Church, where she served as long time treasurer, women’s Sunday School teacher, and was very active in the women’s missionary group.  

Ruby was retired from Howmet, where she served as the human resources manager.  She also worked many years at Berkline.  Ruby was also on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club, which was dear to her heart.

Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband John Glasscock; parents John and Maggie Cockreham; sister Betty McLain; and brother Danny Cockreham.  

She is survived by a sister, Sue Farmer; nephews David and Brian Farmer, and Chris McLain; nieces Karen Wright and Lisa Michel; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday, July 29, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Dannie Bell, Rev. Paul Winchester, and Rev. Ira Ginn at 10:30 AM Wednesday in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
