Sabrina Michelle (Helton) Coffey, age 57, of Mooresburg, passed into the loving arms or our Heavenly Father on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Parkwest Medical Center after a brief illness. She was saved at a young age at New Life Missionary Baptist Church, where some of her grandparents attended. She grew up going to church with her family at Spruce Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. After she got married, she joined Valley View Missionary Baptist Church, where she raised her daughter and remained a member until her passing. Sabrina was the absolute best mom, loving wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. She was the true definition of a fighter. She was loving, strong, caring, thoughtful, courageous, and she loved her people fiercely. Sabrina had a great sense of humor and could make anyone’s day better by making them laugh. She took the best care of her family, friends, and fur babies. Sabrina loved the Lord with all her heart and was a light to so many throughout her life. Words cannot begin to describe how much she will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth W. Helton; grandparents, Herman and Alice (Carroll) Adams along with Coy and Irene (Brooks) Helton; father-on-law, General Dewain (GD) Coffey; grandparents-in-law, Lee and Bonnie Coffey; special first cousin who was more like a sister, Cheryl Rhea Murphy.
She leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Gary Coffey; daughter, Whitney Coffey; mother, Charlotte Marie (Adams) Helton Trent; brother, Brian (Courtney) Helton; nephews, Jon Helton and Zach Helton; niece, Kristen (Matt) Webb; very special great nephews and great niece, Judson Helton, Liam Webb and Indi Helton; special aunt who was like a second mother, Brenda (Albert) Atkins; sister-in-law, Christy Newton Fowler; best friend of many years and sister at heart, Karen Norton, along with her special work family at Cumberland Mountain Industries that she loved so dear.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
