Sara Ann Horner went home to the Lord and her mother on May 1, 2026. She passed peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with an illness.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Horner; parents, Carl and Frankie Russell of St. Clair; sisters, Mary Caudill of Morristown, and Willie Faye Carter of St. Clair; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Jodi Horner of Whitesburg; as well as several dear nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind her son, Jeffrey (Kim) Horner; daughter, Patti Horner of Whitesburg; cherished granddaughter, Casey (Jeffrey) Coyne of Russellville; and great grandsons, Jackson and William.
Sara served her community for 40 years as a cafeteria manager, first at Whitesburg Elementary and later at East Ridge Middle School. She leaves behind many dear friends, and a legacy of kindness.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Bent Creek Cemetery, with Rev. Dannie Bell officiating.
