Sarah Odom Drinnon, age 86 of Morristown, went to her heavenly home Thursday morning, April 28, 2022. She was a member of Lee Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Luke “June” Drinnon, Jr., son Donnie Drinnon, parents Dewey and Mattie Johns Odom, father and mother-in-law Luke and Hattie Greene Drinnon, brother James Odom, sisters Ella Mae Fawbush, Bessie Pearl (Bob) Garretson, Irene (Tommy) Ashley, and several in-laws.
Sarah is survived by her daughter Cathy (Gary) McCarter and son Kevin Drinnon, all of Morristown; daughter-in-law Vickie Drinnon of Whitesburg; grandchildren Mandy (David) Kenner of Rogersville; Damon (Heather) Drinnon of Whitesburg; great-grandchildren Nolan Kenner, Porter Drinnon, Ella Drinnon, and Holston Drinnon; sister Ruby Andrews of Knoxville; and sister-in-law Shirley Drinnon Belcher of Whitesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 7 PM, with the Revs. Ronald Bunch and Dwain Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends and family 5-7 PM prior to the service. Graveside services will be 2 PM Sunday, May 1, 2022, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
