Shirley Frances Carpenter, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on her 89th Birthday, Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Morristown Hamblen Hospital with her family by her side. She loved life, her family, singing, birds, and Michael Combs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Carpenter; parents, father Clyde Roach and mother Virgie Cope Roach; brothers, Paul Roach, Clyde Roach, and Harold “Red” Roach; daughter, Judy Greene Ball; son, Mike Greene; and father of her children, Bobby Greene.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Brenda Miller; like a son to her, Ronnie Cameron; granddaughters who she loved dearly, Amanda (Wes) Kitts, Miranda (Alan) Tolliver, Teagan (Chase) Watson, Meagan (Eddie) Hurley; grandson, Josh (Kasi) Greene; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Brilee, Henley, Easton, Baylor, Kayli, Hunter, Kohen, Madx, and Hudsyn; sisters, Mary (Manfred) Fassler and Sue (Billy) William; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. with Reverend Odell Davidson and Chris Davis officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, in Helton Cemetery, Bean Station, TN.
