Shirley Ann Snowden, 86, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Regency Retirement Village. She was a longtime and active member of First United Methodist Church in Morristown. She retired from Rainbo Bread Company after many years. She also worked as the Secretary to the District Superintendent for the United Methodist Holston Conference and American Enka. Shirley loved to volunteer at her church especially the Senior Adult Ministry and Wednesday night meals, as well as Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jim Snowden; parents, Joseph A. and Betty M. Watkins; sisters, Ruth Horner Cox and Frances J. Watkins; brothers, Cecil, Joseph, Jr., James, Billy, Charles and Wayne Watkins.
Survivors include her daughters, Melodie Snowden, Patricia (Rev. Dr. Brian) Germano; granddaughter, Jennifer (Zach) Prosba; 2 great granddaughters, Hannah Lynne and Hayleigh Ann Prosba; as well as several nieces, nephews.

The body will lie in repose from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, July 14, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, July 15, 2023, at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Asa Majors and Dr. Darris Doyal officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
