Suzanne (Clawson) Poole

Suzanne (Clawson) Poole, 65, went to be with the Lord, March 14, 2025, at Ft Sanders Medical Center.  She was a lifetime and active member of First Baptist Church of Morristown.  Suzanne was a graduate from Morristown Hamblen High School West, WSCC, Clemson University, and retired from Hamblen County Board of Education in 2018 after 30 years of service.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and “Gigi” to her grandchildren.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin and Dorothy (Estep) Clawson .

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Barry Poole; children, Ashlee Poole (Paul) Lynch and Leslie Poole (Zachary) Lynch; grandchildren, Anderson, Colson, Archie, and Emery Ann Lynch; brothers, Jim Rogers  (Carolyn Holt) Clawson, John Estep (Carol) Clawson; step-mother, Brenda Ruth Clawson; nephews, James Rogers Clawson, John Daniel Clawson, Stephen Estep Clawson (Lindsey); special cousins, James D. Estep III, Robert M. Estep, and Ellen Estep Merritt; as well as many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00pm, Sunday, March 16, 2025, in the sanctuary at First Baptist Church.  The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm with Dr. Dean Haun, Pastor Danny Georges, and Pastor Tim Thompson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Hamblen Memory Gardens and Mausoleum.
