Teresa (Turner) Bishop

Teresa "Terri" Turner Bishop went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.  
Terri was a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, friend and so much more, but most important she was a Child of God, who loved her Savior. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, where she loved to attend. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Donald "Tom" Turner and Judy Phillips, and her grandmother Katherine “Mausie” Arrington. 

She is survived by her husband Charles Bishop; children, Danny Killion and Brett Reed; stepchildren; Chad and Amber Bishop; grandchildren, Kelsey, Haley, and Danny Killion; loving aunts: Carolyn Ratliff, Donna (Terry) Patterson, Mary (Robert) Long, and Judy Drinnon; stepfather, Charles Phillips; brother, Shawn Phillips; nephew, Shawn Patrick Phillips; sisters, Melissa and Kim Turner; her favorite father and mother in-law, LN and Rose Bishop; special family members, Robin Cornett, Kathy Self, Renee Hall, and Jesse & Amber Killion. 

She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Harley. 

She was a very warm, compassionate, and caring person. We cannot possibly mention everyone that was special to her because there were so many. But she held a special place in her heart for all the students and co-workers at Carson-Newman and all her church family at Highland Baptist Church. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Tuesday 06/27/2023 in the east chapel of  Allen Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Revs. Terry Bunch, Joey Horn and Jesse Killion officiating.  Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Jarnigan Cemetery with Rev. Terry Bunch officiating.
