Theresa "Terri" Suzanne (Brooks) Cook

Theresa Suzanne “Terri” Cook, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on July 15, 2023.    She was a lifelong member of Big Hill Baptist Church.  She served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany and Washington state. Terri loved spending time with her grandson Cooper and was looking forward to the arrival of her new grandson Camden; loved her dogs Grace and late Boo.  She also loved shopping, the color purple, and butterflies.  

Terri is preceded in death by her son, Joshua Lynn Gentry; whom she dearly missed; husband, James “Rocky” Cook; maternal grandparents, Lissie and  Millon Clonce and paternal grandparents, Mabel and Archie Purkey.  

Survivors include her son Cody (Courtney) Brooks; grandson, Cooper Joshua Brooks; parents, Randall and Doris Brooks, all of Bean Station; brother, Ross (Janie) Brooks of Morristown, and sister, Lori Brooks; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023, in Big Hill Cemetery in Mooresburg, TN. 

Allen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
