Tommy "Jody" Joe Smith

Tommy Joe “Jody” Smith, 60, went to be with the Lord, at his home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.  He was saved at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lexie Smith and father, R.B. Smith; half-sister Yvette Coffey; half -brothers, Durl and Ronnie Smith; and special aunt and uncle, Tiny and Gary Pollard.
 
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Susie Smith; children, Josh (Wendy) Smith,  Jordan (Kayla) Smith, and Sara Smith; grandchildren, Bentley, Emerlee, Bexley, Brynlee, Ari, Axel and Oaklee; brother, Tony Smith; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
 
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his Lowe’s family on his behalf. He was very loved and cared for by them and he loved and cared for them as well.
 
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, on Monday, December 1, 2025, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service at 7:00 PM, with Reverends Dannie Bell and Rodney Ricketts officiating.  Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Jefferson Memorial Gardens of Jefferson City, with Reverend Randy Epps officiating.
