Vickie Lynn Ter Doest

Vickie L. Ter Doest, 65, of Morristown, TN, passed away September 29, 2023, in her home, surrounded by family. She worked in the restaurant industry for most of her life and has been the manager of Olive Garden in Morristown for the past three years. Vickie loved doing crafts, was an avid nature and outdoor lover, and was known affectionately as “Mother Nature”. She enjoyed playing cards and making cookies with her grandkids. She especially loved Christmas and all of its traditions.

Vickie is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Schlegel; son, David Laas; sister, Brenda “Suni” Brandt; mother and father-in-law, Lois Elaine and James Ter Doest, Sr.; ex-husband, Douglas Laas, Sr.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Charles “Chuck” Ter Doest; children, Douglas (Jackie) Laas, Jr., Andrea (John) LaRoe, Amanda Laas, and Nicholas Ter Doest; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Phyllis Schlegel, Linda (Jan) Dickinson, and Kathy (Dan) Hootman; brother Daniel (Shelly) Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Upon her request, no funeral or memorial services will be held.
