Virginia Nelle (Day) Hurley

Virginia Nelle Day Hurley, age 94, of Morristown, passed away September 23, 2023.  She was born December 10, 1928, to the late James F. Day and Maude L. Day.  She was employed by Sears, Gibsons, and retired from Sky City. She was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She especially enjoyed cooking for her family and celebrating the holidays with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Hurley; son, Larry M. Hurley; brother, William Day; and sister, Mary Lou Bible.

Survivors include her son and wife, Gary and Patsy Hurley of Johnson City; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
