Walter Dean “Wally” Frye, 51, of Morristown, went to his eternal rest on Monday January 10, 2022, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System, surrounded by the ones that loved him most. Wally was a member of Northside Missionary Baptist Church where he served as the Sunday School superintendent. He loved coaching flag football and was an avid Cowboys and Vols fan.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Bessie Frye, Walter and Minnie Anderson; mother, Linda Yount and stepfather, James Spradling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Frye; daughters, Becky McBee and Alanna (Nick) Flintoff; son, Justin Ferrell; grandchildren, Liam McKinney and Leighton Flintoff; father and stepmother, Larry (Linda) Frye; stepfather, Eugene Yount; sisters, Cora Davis, Deana Frye, Stephanie (Andrew) Abraham; stepbrothers, Terry (Billie) Yount, Tim (Pam) Yount; sister-in-law, Debbie (Dewayne) Young; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special friends, Jeffery and Tammy Johnson, Bruce Keicher and Julie and James Aberle.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the funeral service at 7:00 pm with Reverends Brian Warf and Lonnie Dalton officiating. Graveside services are planned for 1:00pm Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Noe’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 707 Noes Chapel Road, Morristown, TN 37814.
