Wanda Sue Brooks, 81, of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord, Monday, January 17, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. She was a long-time member of Adriel Missionary Baptist Church. She owned the Plaza Beauty Salon in Morristown and later worked from her home as a beautician for over fifty years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Curtis Mayford Brooks; daughters, Stacy Ann Brooks, Rebecca “Becky” Rudd; her beloved parents; and eight siblings.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny (Debbie) Brooks and Danny “Saucer” Brooks; son-in-law, Steve Rudd; grandchildren, Ashley Brooks, Hunter Brooks, Ty Brooks, Meghan (Matthew) Owens, Aneisty (Donavon) Haynes, Stephanie (Joe) Matthews, and her Earth Angel, Madison Welch; great-grandchildren, Ava and Parker Pierce, Marlee and Myles Owens, Cooper Kinsler, Brooks and Everly Haynes, Bradley Bishop, Blaine and Baylee Mathews; special nieces and nephews, Debbie Jolly, Pam Webster, Kim Webster, Doug Webster, Tracy Norton; life-long friends, Lola French, Kay Whittaker, Mary Joe Daniels, Francis Miller, and Margret Williams.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Friday, January 21, 2022, at Adriel Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 7 PM, with Rev. Tim Collins officiating. Interment will be 10 AM, Saturday, January 22nd in Adriel Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
