Wendell "Scott" Helton

Wendell “Scott” Helton, 59, of Morristown, passed away at his home August 14, 2022.  He was employed by Ben Hale Construction.  He was saved at an early age and joined Power House Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther C. and Beaulah Helton; and Morris and Anna Ruth Long.  

He is survived by his son, Jordan R. (Liz Fullington) Helton; granddaughter, Zoe Helton; parents, Billy N. and Cindy Helton; sister, Susan (Darrell) Alder; his companion, Tina Gardner; her sons, Jacob and Dusty; and their children.  

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Thursday, August 18, 2022, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 PM, with Reverend Darrell Alder officiating.  Interment will be 11 AM, Friday, August 19, at Hamblen Memory Gardens.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Hamblen County Humane Society and/or the Wounded Warrior Project.
