William “Mike” Carpenter, 59, of Morristown, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at his daughters’ home in Greeneville. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a carpenter for many years. He loved camping and fishing and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reford and Evelyn Carpenter; and brothers, Sonny, Ray, Earney, and Buck.
He is survived by his daughters, Nicole (Cody) Baker; Melissa Lanzafame; sons, Joe and David Lanzafame; grandchildren, Braiden and McKenzie Baker; and several other grandchildren; brothers, Steve, Darrell, Danny, and Dean Carpenter; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family would especially like to thank Amedisys Hospice of Greeneville and the Thompson Oncology Group at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. with Pastor Chris Davis officiating.
